Footpro footwear technicians utilise the latest video and pressure mapping technology and enable customers to interact with the uniquely designed 3-Step Fit System to achieve the ultimate custom-fit solution.
Step 1 - Gait Analysis and Footscan • Through the use of clinical data capture systems we can confidently analyse foot, ankle, knee and hip motion. Footpro use Templo motion software to assist in the video treadmill gait analysis process. Pressure mapping of the foot is also achieved using FootWork AM3 pressure plate. Combining these two systems acts as a way of visually quantifying the process. The information obtained from Step-1 also acts as the basis for decisions regarding Custom Insole (Step-2 ) construction and Footwear selection (Step-3 ).
•All analysis is done dynamically and the ‘guess work’ is eliminated

Step 2 - Custom Moulded Insoles (orthotic)
• State-of-the-art, super lightweight heat mouldable materials are used to create an incredibly accurate mould of your feet. Strategically placed control, shock absorption and propulsive materials provide support, cushioning, protection and performance.
• The insoles are moulded using windlass biomechanics, placing the foot and body into its optimum weight bearing position.

Step 3 - Footwear
• We measure the foot in terms of length of foot, length of arch, width of heel and forefoot and assess foot profile from instep height and foot volume. We will then fit the moulded insole into your exisiting sports shoe or alternatively we can advise and sell the latest range of footwear solutions. By using the information recieved from ‘The Analysis’ our technicians selects the most appropriate shoe and footwear solution with the correct fit and function for your requirements. The selection should not be left to trial and error, as the wrong shoe will cause pain, injury, and fatigue, not to mention a reduction in performance. All shoes are different, not just in shape and size, but also the way they react. Every shoe selected is tested, recorded on video and assessed for optimum fit potential. Our range of footwear is vast with a style of shoe to suit everbody from everyday suit and tie office worker, cyclists, skiers, recreational runners, ultra marathoners and barefoot running.

Comfort
• Improving fit through customising the footwear with our custom insoles
• Reducing excessive movement within the shoe, this allows better envelopement of the foot. Complete shoe to feet contact.
Performance
• By encouraging the foot to function more efficiently, greater power can be generated through the foot.
• Aligning the foot in a weight bearing position will redistribute the pressure over a larger surface area. This in turn will increase the bio-feedback, and improve stability and economy of motion.
