The Hoka Stinson ATR 4 is a completely new shoe. The Stinson ATR 4 is a maximum cushioning trail running shoe that is also very supportive. Several of the updates featured on the Hoka Stinson ATR 4 are significant improvements based on consumer feedback and this has resulted in a standout trail running shoe.
The fit of the Hoka Stinson ATR 4 will fit a greater variety of foot shapes due to the new forefoot shape. The fit is slightly wider across the forefoot and the toe-box is more rounded in shape. The stack height is 39mm Heel and 34mm Forefoot giving you a 5mm drop. This is the same as previous versions although the flex points and styling of the Stinson ATR 4 are very different.
The Upper utilises the latest heat welding overlay design. This enables Hoka One One to create an adaptive upper design that can be support and secure in certain areas, and more flexible and forgiving in others.
The outsole / tread design was another area of vast improvement for the Stinson ATR 4. There are significantly more lugs and they are much larger blocks of tread. This provides the trail runner with heaps of traction on every type type of trail.
The Hoka Stinson ATR 4 is a great trail running shoe again. 10/10
