Saucony Peregrine 7 is a good update for a great trail running shoe. The updates are mainly in the upper of Peregrine 7. Advances in mesh design and heat welded overlays has created a very smooth fitting trail shoe, that is still going to be durable and robust. This improved upper design has also improved drainage and breathability. The Outsole and midsole design of Peregrine 7 is unchanged and retains the same cushioning, stability and protective properties as the previous version. A NEW feature and one to get excited about is the incorporation of a full length EVERUN topsole layer. Peregrine 6 had an EVERUN heel insert only which helped to absorb impact through the heel. A full-length EVERUN layer that spans from heel to toe creates a significantly plusher and more cushioned feel from heel strike to toe off. If you have had the Saucony Peregrine’s then be excited about Peregrine 7. If you have never trail run in a Saucony Peregrine then version 7 would be a great place to start.
